Funny Things My Kids Have Done... This Week
Kids are unpredictable. Sometimes that can have a cringe worthy outcome. Most of the time, it is, at the very least, entertaining. My kiddos are no exception!!!Wesley lost his first tooth this week while brushing his teeth. With adrenaline pumping, he hulked out a second wiggly tooth minutes later. He had a lot of trouble sleeping that night. I think he was excited about his first visit from the Tooth Fairy. The next morning when he came out of the bedroom with two fives in his hand, I immediately got excited and started asking questions about what he got and if the Tooth Fairy took his teeth. "Bug, what did the Tooth Fairy bring?!""Two dollars.""Is that two dollars? What number is on the dollars?""5.""So, how many dollars is that?""6.""I'm pretty sure that's 10."Next thing I know, he's getting angry because I told him it was 6. I was so confused. So I changed the subject and asked if the Tooth Fairy took his teeth or left them. When he couldn't open the tooth box, he threw it on the ground. Geez.A co-worker of mine was telling a story about her youngest getting in trouble at school for saying a dirty word. Following her story, I interjected about my kids. Wesley would never. William on the other hand is a bit more of a rebel. His phrase of choice is, "Oh shit!" He uses it correctly too. Who would of thought. We aren't terrible people. We don't allow our 4 year old to cuss. But, this is the one phrase he has gotten in trouble for saying... more than once. I guess I jinxed my child by telling people this info about him. A few hours later I get a phone call from Honey. Wheel's teacher pulled her when she picked him up from school. At some point during the day he fell. When he did, he said, you guessed it, "Oh shit."At least we had no incidents with pee being somewhere it shouldn't this week. #boymomWe had a busy week. Wesley turned 6. We had two t-ball games, and Wheels had his Easter parade at school. My kids are great. They bring a lot of crazy moments and I have my hands full some days, but they are the essence of joy and happiness. Even on those crazy, overwhelming, or stressful days, they are my why. On all days they... my husband... my family... they are my why.
